Your First Visit

Please arrive about 10 minutes early so that you have enough time to fill out any necessary forms. You can complete a New Patient Form at your first appointment, or download, fill out, and bring it with you.

*IMPORTANT: Any form submitted by email must be encrypted, to ensure it is secure. By submitting an unencrypted email form, you are consenting to an unsecured email. Alternatively, please print off the form, complete it, and bring it to our office.

Initial Examination

To start, your dentist will review your medical and dental history and complete a comprehensive dental exam, which will include a thorough inspection of your teeth, gums, bite and jaw, any x-rays that may be required, and an oral cancer screening. 

Treatment Plan

Based on your dental history and examination, your dentist will create a long-term dental treatment plan for you. There will also be time to ask any questions you may have about your dental health and treatment options. 

Insurance & Payment Methods

At Family Dental Care Kitsilano - Dr. Harry Sangha Dentistry, we'll guide you through our options for payment and direct billing to insurance companies so you can focus on getting the dental care you need.

• Direct Billing to Insurance

  For your convenience, we offer direct billing to most insurance plans. We can submit your insurance claim electronically, resulting in faster reimbursement without the requirement for signatures or paper forms. 

  Our administrative team can help you to understand your insurance plan better and can send estimates to your insurance provider before starting any major treatments. 

  Please bring your insurance plan information to your appointment.

• Payment Methods

  You will be responsible for any co-pays or amounts not covered by insurance. These must be paid at your appointment time. 

  We accept payment by cash, cheque, debit or most major credit cards.

• How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

  To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us. Please notify us of any change in plans as soon as you can, so another patient may be able to use the space in our schedule. 

• Do you offer appointment reminders?

  In the days before your appointment, you will receive automated appointment reminders from us. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please call us as soon as possible to let us know.

• Does your clinic have on-site parking?

  Yes, free on-site parking is available to all of our patients. You can also access us easily via public transit.
